Rossman School has been named among the “50 Best Private Elementary Schools in the U.S.” by TheBestSchools.org (TBS), a leading online education resource. Ranked at No. 31, Rossman was the only Missouri school to make the list.

In formulating the rankings for the list, TBS conducted extensive research, including evaluating parent and student reviews, to determine if ranking criteria were met. Criteria included such factors as exceeding local public schools in student success, producing students who are well prepared for secondary school, and treating parents as partners in the...Read more

Did you see it? Were you there? Monday, August 21, 2017 is a date most of us won’t soon forget. We were lucky to have beautiful clear skies over Rossman School to witness the amazing spectacle of a total solar eclipse. Rossman families, faculty and friends braved a hot, steamy day to gather at the Woods Athletic Field and enjoy the rare event together.

There are two different kinds of eclipses, solar and lunar. Solar eclipses occur when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth. Total solar eclipses, like the one on August 21, occur because of an amazing celestial...Read more

With each scene, the cast of fourteen fifth and sixth graders not only revived a chapter of Rossman Players history but also presented the story of a character whose journey leads them to stand up to adversity and discover an unknown strength within themselves. Presented March 14 and 15, the musical revue was a hit with audiences, especially those for whom the scenes brought back memories of...Read more

Twenty-two alumni from the Class of 2011 teamed up March 10 for Rossman’s 30th annual Spirit Day basketball game. The high school seniors went head to head with fifth and sixth graders, making a valiant effort despite the wacky games concocted by P.E. teachers Larry Huusko and Jenna Lucas. The alumni handicaps included imaginative challenges like: “Hula Hoop Ball,” in which the alumni team played ball while paired up inside hula hoops; “Spring Break Beach Ball,” which required the alumni to keep a beach ball in the air during play; and “Relative Game,” which transformed siblings of alumni...Read more
